It's a family affair

I had such a fun family shoot today.  The family consisted of mom, dad, a 3 year old, a 1 year old, grandma, grandpa, and an aunt and uncle.  So much fun!  I even got to do some maternity shots for the aunt and uncle.  I hope they enjoy!

Announcing December's Winners!

I had two contests going at the beginning of December - my final monthly drawing and a chance to win a mini-accordian brag book.  Unfortunately, life took over for a moment, so I'm a little behind on announcing these winners.  We'll start with the winner of my drawing first.

Typically, my monthly drawing winner needs to complete their session during the month in which the contest falls, however, with the holidays and the fact that it's almost the middle of the month, I'm extending that deadline to Jan. 31.  The winner gets a free photo session and $15 to spend on prints or products such as a CD.  So, without further adieu, the winner of December's monthly drawing is.........Melissa Garrity!  Please contact me within the next 48 hours to claim your prize.

And now on to the winner of the mini-accordian brag book.  Have you seen these?  They are so cute and can be customized in so many ways.  We'll work together to create your brag book.  Once we get it designed, it'll take about 7 days to receive the product.  And the winner of the brag book is.......Megan Blake!  Please contact me so can begin the design process.

Thanks to all who entered both contests and also to my lovely Cora who drew the names.  I have some other fabulous contests up my sleeve for 2011 along with a new site and look.  So keep tuned!

Rose (9 days) and Mary Elizabeth (1 year)

I've been looking forward to this photo shoot ever since I met Katie at a Mom's Night Out earlier this fall.  I'm so glad the day finally arrived!  Little Miss Rose was born on Nov. 22 and I've been dying to see her.  She's just adorable.  And big sister Mary Elizabeth is just as sweet and cute and obviously loves her little sister - at least when it matters.  She didn't really want to pose by Rose, but once Rose started crying, Mary Elizabeth was right there to make sure she was OK.  And they really were too cute in their matching Christmas pjs.
Once we were done with Mary Elizabeth, she happily went down to the basement to play with great-Grandma while Katie and I got down to the business of taking some newborn photos of Rose.  She fussed a few times, but we were able to keep her happy and sleepy for the most part.  She definitely still has that newborn curl and the rolls of chunk.  What a cutie!  Thanks for letting me capture this moment for you, Katie and Chris!

Meet November's Winner

Melissa is a transplanted Floridian who decided she needed to brave one of the coldest days of the season thus far and venture outdoors for her photo shoot.  It was about 20 degrees with a layer of snow on the ground.  And we were outside!  We went to one of my favorite locations for the shoot to get some Minnesota-ish pictures.  Hope we got what she wanted!

Holiday Photoshoot at the Guthrie

Hello!  If you haven't made a visit to the Guthrie yet, you should really go check it out.  Such a neat place and is open to the public, so you can just walk in without seeing a show!  I had an opportunity last January to go visit with my photography group during one of the only days they weren't staging any shows.  I don't know why I haven't been back until now.  So many fun locations for photoshoots.  With the early winter and cold weather upon us, it was the perfect place to host a holiday mini photoshoot.  I had so much fun running from one level to the next with my families - I know I got some exercise in!  Here are some images from the shoot.

Happy Holidays Letts Family!

I received an e-mail the other day asking if I possibly, please, please, had some time open today to do a family photoshoot.  Lucky for them, the one thing I had on the calendar was easily cancelled.  Lucky for them?  Lucky for me!  I had so much fun goofing around with the family to get some fun, natural pictures.

We met at Mears Park in downtown St. Paul.  Mears Park is easily becoming one of  my favorite places to shoot; I'd definitely place it in my top 10 - perhaps even top 5 outdoor locations.  It's a small park in the middle of downtown St. Paul, but so full of character and neat spaces.  I just love it there!
It was a little chilly, unless you were in the sun, so we zipped through the session.  Poor little Mia (1) was shivering toward the end.  But the boys, Owen (5) and Evan (4), had fun exploring the dry creek bed.  I guess all that running around kept them busy.  Even Grandma and Grandpa who hail from the Wisconsin north country found it a bit chilly.  Perfect day for taking holiday photos!
And of course, I couldn't help but get a shoot of the cute feet.  The stone bridge was a perfect spot for them to dangle their feet down.  Add a hint of hand-holding and it's just precious.

And last, but not least, here's a little collage I put together.  Puts you in the holiday mood, does it?

Congratulations to November's Winner!

Once again, many thanks to all who entered. If you didn't win this month, there's always next month. Don't let the thought of winter scare you away. There are some great indoor spots AND I have possible studio access, so there's always somewhere we can go. I am now accepting December entries. All you need to do is send me an e-mail (rebekah@imageseverlasting.com) with the subject Monthly Drawing December. If your name is drawn, I'll announce it here. You'll have two days to respond to book your free session. You'll also get $15 in credit to use toward prints/products!

And now for the winner.......Melissa Beaudry! Please contact me by November 4 to start booking your session. :)

Please note that the monthly drawings will end in December.  So if you want an opportunity to win a free photo session, now's the time to sign up!

Ibrahim, 7 weeks

Meet adorable Ibrahim and his family.  I just love his pudgy arms and face.  I wanted to just gobble him up!  He is so cute and adorable.  And the little suit they dressed him in with the hat and tie......ADORABLE!

I just loved the little shoes he had on, too.
Mom and Dad looked great, too.  I think that the picture of Dad with Ibrahim is one of my favorites.  You can just feel the love pouring off the page.

Avery, 1 month

Welcome to the world little Avery!
You got to meet little Avery before we knew she was going to be little Avery.  Remember that maternity shoot I did a couple of months back?  Well, they had their baby.  Isn't she adorable?

And very much loved.

Lions and Monkeys and Boys, Oh My

When I was downsized from my job last year, I joined a couple of mom's groups to help keep me and my girls busy.  It worked.  Now the girls and I have a very social calendar.  Add to that my photo sessions and my husband's motorcyle riding forays, we are a very busy family.  And you're probably wondering what that has to do with the title of this blog post.  Well, being a part of such large and active mom's groups has introduced me to some of the cutest kids and great moms.  I got to meet more kids and moms today when I hosted a mini-Halloween photoshoot.  Moms brought their kids to me at Mears Park to take memorable photos of their darling kiddos sporting their Halloween costumes (or just for a fun fall photo).  I had so much fun!  It was so hard choosing just one or two photos from each family to showcase.  But here it goes....thanks for looking!
